I made it as audio director/engineer or something... the commander read it off pretty quick and I was a bit too excited/nervous to remember.
congrats to everyone else that tried out, and hopefully I'll see a bunch of you soon . |

To those who have been selected thus far, I say congratulations. Your work is only beginning. Do not take this moment for granted and always remember how you felt when you were selected. You will need it for those tough days and the days you want to give up.
To those who are patiently (for lack of a better word) waiting, I say, while you wait, work on your gift, your craft, your ax, if you will. Always be ready to step up to the mic when the time comes. You never know when that time is going to be at hand.
Best wishes to all of you (those who are selected and those who are not) and I look forward to seeing you guys in action. If I wasn't in school I would be down there kickin your butts!!! LOL!!

This is how I know I'm getting old... I announced and saw everyone except Techs and I don't half the people who got selected (vocals & instr).
Man... Aaron Simms (he was there?) who is Aaron Elliot?
Tell me what the sung or wore and I'll be good!
Ohter than that... To all of you who did make it, let me say this. You ain't in til you get to the Production Center. Dont' be the one that "made it" and then do something stupid and all of a sudden you are "that guy/ that girl". Don't give anyone any ammunition to shoot you or your dream down. NOT A NARE-A-NUDDA!!!
If you have EOC's to do - DO 'EM! Stagging AINT NO JOKE! You'll have time, but you'll be thinking of dance steps and notes while trying to take your EOC. And you can fail your EOC if you jump up in the middle of the exam and start doing the 7 step or "pointers". Not only will you fail, but you will look stupid. (at least that's what they told me!)
Good luck to the rest of you who haven't got a call yet!
Peace & Laughter!

I don't know, but I do know from past years: don't post lists of who was selected & what they did at WWTC. They may have been a vocalist at Worldwide but got selected for tour for some other reason. _________________ Bob Morrow, TIB 88 ss

on the tech side:
Aaron Elliott (e-mail said audio director, but who knows)
Christina Wells (came to WWTC as audio tech)
(Paul) Adam Simms (came as video tech, selected as pianist)
Alex (SSgt G) was selected, I believe as a driver
no word on david V (audio), scott (staging), or wes (driver) yet
and john's list is missing a certain Lt Col too |

Congratulation to all who made it so far. Ultimately though, there were so many more people I really wish would have made it but it's a shame only 35 people could be selected. Great job to everyone to came to the competition. |

Adam -
2Lt Angela Waterworth (vocalist who sang Phantom of The Opera piece) tells me she was selected for keyboards as well.
I know that 2Lt Mara Title was NOT selected - she had to find out ASAP due to tech school committments. _________________ Brian Reno |

Congrats to those who have found out so far! I can't wait to work with you all in March!
For those who have not heard anything yet... keep the faith. I'm praying for ya!
If you do not get selected this year...please come back again and again! Each year you grow in your craft and learn something new, but only if you allow yourself to be a sponge. I did not get selected my first time but I came back, was blessed to tour in 2005 and now will be doing it again!!! Thanks be to God! If you need anything I am here. Be encouraged and stay blessed!

First let me say CONGRATULATIONS to all that have made it so far. Then of course I must say THANK YOU to all who continue to make this possible for so many people.
So, I had my 1st shirt, squadron commander, and superintendent come down this morning and congratulate me accidentally. I have yet to get the final say from my wing commander, so technically it's not official, but YAY I am so excited!!!!!

Hey Everybody,
This is Derrick Wright checking in! I just wanted to say thank you to all the contestants who participated at WWTS 2009. It was simply incredible! The amount of talent that showed up and showed out was beautiful to see. Each and every one of you should be proud of what you accomplished. It was a complete joy and honor to be a Team Leader this year! To the folks who have recieved the "coveted" call congratulations! Never forget this moment because you will need to lean on it when times get tough and you feel like giving in! To the ones waiting to recieve the call, know that it is out of your hands right now! You have done all that you can do and if it is your time then it will be! To the ones who do not get the call, know that you will be disappointed and also know that it is okay to be disappointed, but do not let it take away all that you have learned and given during your time at World Wide! Remember the longer you spend trying to figure out why you were not selected is the less time you have to get ready for next year! And last but not least, to my Beloved ALPHA TEAM!! I hated that I missed your big night, but know that while I was away, my thoughts and heart were with you all! You deserved everything that was awarded to you! Thank you for simply being AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Thank you also for my pictures, they will definitely go up in my office at home once I get it cleaned up But for the time being they will be displayed in my office on Andrews for the world to see! Well I have used up enough space here so I will close for now. If any of you need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me. _________________ BLUE LOVE,
