Congrats to all that made it on the bus. I wish you all nothing but the best as you embark on this journey that will change your lives forever. For my brothers and sisters on the team. Make us all proud and show them what it means to be a prior. Use all that you know, but don't forget that every tour is different. Be open to all the new experiences and new challenges. Congratulations to all who were selected. I am looking at this list in amazement because everyone who was selected was SO gifted. Always remember this, there is somebody sitting at their base waiting to get a call that they need a replacement. And it CAN be done! The talent at Worldwide this year was amazing.
To the Selectees:
Start preparing NOW!!! CARDIO! CARDIO! CARDIO!!! It will only help you. Strength training will help as well. If you need to lose weight, do it now! Get ready for long days and hard nights. Prepare your family that they may not be hearing from you EVERYDAY! You will cherish the rest you get, so get it now. I am looking forward to the great things that you will do this year.
To the Non-Selectees:
You all did your thing! I don't believe that there was anyone who should have left the stage thinking that they did not do well, because you all did an awesome job. Do not take not being selected to mean that you were not "good enough." Because you are. You'll understand it when you DO make the tour. Mr. Edwards builds the show around the talent that he has and he saw a show in the people he selected. Go back to your bases and work on everything that you think you need to work on. Vocalists, get a voice coach, musicians, get extra lessons, so that when you come back next year, you blow everyone away. None of us knows it all and music especially is a craft that can always use improvement (ask anyone who does it for a living). Come back again...new and improved!
